Christmas is coming soon. Most of us are busy this time a year with buying gifts and preparing for parties and special events. But, I hope we all take time to think about the reason for this season which is Jesus. The birth of Jesus to be exact. For Christians we have a lot of traditions about Christmas, the Nativity, the Star, the Wisemen and many others. But like many traditions not everything is exactly the way we remember or have been told. Some of our favorite parts of the Nativity story tradition are not actually in the Bible. These are the Christmas Myths. The Christmas story captured in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke have some amazing details we often over-look, I’ll call these Christmas Out Takes and of course all of us have Christmas traditions which are not part of the Bible story but some have some really interesting history associated with them.
